"In 2014, Cummins was again named one of the World's Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute. The institute evaluates companies' commitment to ethical leadership, compliance practices and corporate responsibility. This was the sixth straight year that Ethisphere selected Cummins for this honour.

Workplace, Diversity, People

Cummins was awarded a perfect score for the ninth consecutive year in the 2014 Corporate Equality Index by the Human Rights Campaign, the largest U.S. civil rights organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees. The Company was recognized for offering equivalency in spouse and partner benefits, health coverage for transgender individuals and more.

Cummins received first place in Institutional Investors’ 2014 All American Executive Team rankings. The rankings are based on a survey of portfolio managers and sell-side analysts who are asked to name the best CEOs, CFOs and investor relations professionals at the U.S. companies they cover

 "In 2013, Cummins was again named one of the World's Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute. The institute evaluates companies' commitment to ethical leadership, compliance practices and corporate responsibility. This was the sixth straight year that Ethisphere selected Cummins for this honour.

Cummins China was recognized as a “Leading Enterprise in Corporate Social Responsibility “ for 2012 by the prestigious GoldenBee Corporate Social Responsibility China Honour Roll. The honor roll was launched by a Chinese magazine and the county’s Ministry of Commerce to promote corporate social responsibility in the country

Cummins India was honored with the B.G. Deshmukh Award for outstanding work in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility. It’s the second time since the award was created six years ago that Cummins India was honoured.

Cummins Power Generation in Fridley, Minn. was awarded the 2013 Minnesota Employee Engagement Award for its work with the Courage Center. Employees adapt toys and electronic devices at the center which serves people with disabilities.

Cummins was awarded a perfect score for the eighth consecutive year in the 2013 Corporate Equality Index by the Human Rights Campaign, the largest U.S. civil rights organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees. The Company was recognized for offering equivalency in spouse and partner benefits, health coverage for transgender individuals and more.

Cummins was named one of the Top 50 companies for Diversity by DiversityInc magazine for a seventh consecutive year in 2013. Cummins ranked 15th on the list,up from 18th in 2012.

Environmental

Cummins was named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index in 2013 for a ninth consecutive year. The index represents the top 10 percent of the world’s most sustainable companies as ranked by Dow Jones over a range of economic, environmental and social responsibility factors.

Tata Cummins Limited – Jamshedpur was named a silver award winner for the automotive sector at the 14th Annual Greentech Awards for 2013. The Greentech awards recognize “the highest level of commitment” to Environmental Management and Corporate Responsibility.

Cummins in 2013 received its best score ever from the CDP, formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project, regarding greenhouse gas emissions and the Company’s response and reduction strategies. Cummins received a 91out of 100 on the CDP’s scale.

Financial

Cummins was named “2013 Newsmaker of the Year” by Diesel Progress North American magazine. The award, first given in 1997, honours the company, person, product, technology or industry trend that made the most news in the heavy-duty industrial engine and equipment markets during the calendar year. This is the third time that Cummins has been given this honour

Cummins was ranked at the top of the Motley Fool website’s 2013 list of the 25 Best Companies in America. Companies were evaluated by the investment website for their success in “serving investors, customers, employees and the world at large.”

Cummins Australia received PowerTorque magazine’s 2013 Technology and Innovation Award for its work in heavy-duty truck engine development. PowerTorque is a leading Australian trucking publication. It said Cummins received the award for the ISXe5, which was added to the heavy-duty engine lineup in the South Pacific.

"In 2012, Cummins was again named one of the World's Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute. The institute evaluates companies' commitment to ethical leadership, compliance practices and corporate responsibility. This was the fifth straight year that Ethisphere selected Cummins for this honour.

Corporate Responsibility magazine again named Cummins to its 2012 list of the world's 100 Best Corporate Citizens. It was the 12th time in the last 13 years that the Company has been named to the list. Overall, Cummins was number 81.

Cummins China Investment Co., Limited won the Outstanding Corporate Citizen Award in 2011 from the China Association of Social Workers for the fourth consecutive time. The awards ceremony was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Cummins was honoured for undertaking corporate responsibility activities while making great commercial achievements."

"Cummins was named one of the Top 50 Companies for Diversity by DiversityInc magazine for the sixth consecutive year in 2012. Cummins ranked 18th on the list, the same position the Company held in 2011.

In 2012, Cummins received a perfect rating for a seventh consecutive year from the Human Rights Campaign, the largest advocacy group for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees. The group rated more than 800 employers as part of its 2012 Corporate Equality Index. The index reviews companies on their LGBT policies, practices and more.

Cummins in 2011 was honored with the Company Driver Safety Award at the ninth Annual Fleet Safety Forum Awards for Excellence in Staffordshire (U.K.) sponsored by Brake, a road safety charity. Cummins was recognized for its efforts to create a global driver risk assessment, as well as for the monitoring and improvement program developed through the Virtual Risk Manager application.

Cummins received an IHS SPECTRUM Excellence Award in 2011 in recognition of the company's superior use of advanced information technology to achieve environmental, health and safety compliance and sustainability (EHS&S) business goals.

Cummins received an Honourable Mention C. Everett Koop National Health Award in 2011, presented by The Health Project, a non-profit, private-public consortium chaired by the former U.S. Surgeon General. The project honors organizations that have met rigorous results criteria and documented improved health and decreased medical costs."

Environmental

"In 2012, Cummins was named a winner in the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Goal achievement category of the inaugural Climate Leadership Awards for excellence in industrial energy efficiency. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and three other groups sponsored the awards to recognize corporate, organizational and individual leadership in addressing climate change and reducing carbon emissions.

Cummins was named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the seventh consecutive year in September 2011. The index represents the top 10 percent of the world's largest companies rated by Dow Jones across a range of economic, environmental and social responsibility measures.

Cummins finished in the top third of the companies reviewed as part of Newsweek's environmental rankings of the 500 largest U.S. companies in the fall of 2011. The magazine partnered with two environmental research organizations to review the environmental footprints of companies along with their policies and transparency in reporting."
